A Trepic Founding Partner is a boutique, independent hotel admitted to Trepic's launch partnership cohort. Cohort size is capped. Regional density is limited so partners are not stacked against direct competitors in the same town. Admission is curated — Trepic invites and approves; it is not pay-to-play. Founding Partners gain full creator-network access and the founding-partner badge.
Founding Partner is Trepic's deliberate constraint on its own hotel side. The platform was built to feature places worth lingering in, and the partnership program reflects that — boutique houses, independent owners, and properties whose character can survive long-form scrutiny. Chains, branded resorts, and properties whose only differentiator is volume are not the cohort.
The two design choices that matter most are the cap and the regional limit. The cap keeps the cohort small enough that Founding Partners are actually featured rather than buried. The regional density limit means a Trepic Founding Partner won't be one of six hotels Trepic features in the same valley — there is editorial breathing room around each property.
Founding Partners are featured as bookable stops within creator dispatches and pay performance-based rates rather than for impressions. The model assumes that a place worth writing about will earn its bookings through the writing — which connects directly to Trepic's creator-led booking approach.
